truck is now on its way to Malaysia. Container pack took about 20 minutes (what was I worried about?). Two people. Reversed in using lo ratio and person behind to direct. FWIW its possible to climb out the cab window once inside. Not enough space to drop down to the floor, had to sidle round onto the front. And yes, its possible to get back in!

Of course the test is how it comes out the other end .

I haven't forgotten about the sketchup file.

Wow! Great stuff! I really hope your lashing is adequate.
I've been terrified of containering since some friends of friends found their defender UPSIDE-DOWN when they opened the container! Axles bent, wheels squashed, oil everywhere, a true total write off.
I've shipped a fragile jurgens camper from South Africa in an open top with no problems though.
I guess you didn't want to read that, sorry.
Your blog has been fun, you're really doing it!
Congratulations and happy travels.
Looking forward to more updates.

isn't google wonderful ... there's lots of upside down tomatoes but a link to here is the only upside down defender. As Ali said when put the seal on "there's nothing you can do about it now". :coffee: (I don't know what these emoticon things mean but lots of coffee until we open the container door.)

the truck survived container shipping. Phew. Didn't need to worry after all!

Currently in Laos. Getting a bit lost in the SE! Cross to China on the 18th.

LOVE THIS!!

It sounds like they are still going, out and about in Morocco. I will now have to spend the next several free moments that I have reading through this wonderful blog they have attached, so I can learn more about their travels and how the truck has held up for them.

I love the idea of being able to containerize the truck, but I know it would likely be many many years before I would need to worry about that, so for me... why bother right now.

Still, amazing build!

Cheers
