Another Conqueror Compact

I tore mine out
gnarly glue on the backside and they tore getting em out which was fine as I trashed em anyway
but still have to remove the glue that is left its not sticky just ugly !

I put in shelves on the kitchen side think I mentioned that in another thread ?

going to make nicer ones :) me at least I prefer the shelves cause it gives much more room all that stuff that was in there we kept and it fit on the lower two shelves with extra room

the wine thing I ripped out and that side holds our personal stuff kinda like a medicine cabinet :)
toiletry stuff etc..

the wolf packs I use for our clothes we each have our name on one and keep our main clothes in them

at least for me I liked having our personal stuff all on the one side and all the kitchen stuff on the other

I noticed your lift struts were weak one the rear door with the spare tire. Mine are insane as they will almost launch you into the air, and is hard to close.
But it holds. Yours may simply be weak. You may need to address that as the door should lift pretty high (enough for you to have head clearance.)

Yes; they droop. I'll have to measure them and order a stronger pair. Unless Dean will mail me a pair --- it would cost less to buy then drive back down to his shop.
Gas prices...

I did the 11 lb and made my own little bail type straps ? not sure what to call them ? the metal rod material that holds them in I bent my own
one other thing I did was the sleeping pad on mine I put down that non slip stuff that is like mesh rubber ? I got it at costco in a roll and put it down made it so that did not slip
I'd like to find the correct size -- blue too, like the video. But I'll use 10-pounders if I can't find the others and just wrap some gasket material around them to increase circumference.
We'll likely add a pad under the mattress, just on the upper-body side. Closed cel Walmart stuff.

Can you stow the ladder and fold the end of the bed back during the day while the tent is deployed?
Sure. Just pluck it up there and it's out of the way.
I wouldn't cook in there though; don't want to create a food-smell zone in your sleeping quarters... ...ummm, bears?
I'm still going to erect a cooking fly for longer trips and cook away from the trailer.

strange how the compacts are so dif in the rear end ?
my poles are lucky easy to get to and I got a small plate so super easy as its smaller than the flap ?
I wonder if you can cut a hole and put a flap on like mine?
I might relocate the license plate and make a hole in the bumper large enough for one pole; I was thinking of adding an LED light bar on back for reverse duty:

Are the foam inserts easily removed and are they the same dimensions?
Nasty brown contact cement. I took out the bar and was going to make shelves and had to reinstall it all at the request of my wife. (heavy sigh).
They can swap back and forth, if you like. You can do better on your own; just give it some thought.
At least it will house a civilized single malt along with the cheap house red that I envision...

Has anyone ever played Tetris?

once she has been out camping I bet she will realize how nice it is to have shelves like a med cabinet for personal stuff on that interior side ;) hehehehe

funny I had thought about putting mine in the garage that way but my garage is a touch to small :(

also one thing I found really handy was a small canvas bag like the ones you hang on a closet rod and has a couple shoe pouches
hang it up on the inside of the tent nice to have my shoes on when I go up and down the ladder and keeps desert creepy crawlys out of my shoes !

OK, There are so many contributing, that I am confused on what or who I am answering, so I'll just be general about it.

Got my Propane tanks from REI. Ordered them and they came two days later.
They are still a slight too big. Going to cut the strap and have a buddy re-weld it out a half inch.

The struts for the rear door can be picked up locally at O'Reilly's Auto Parts or the like. Usually they stock many different strengths.

Perhaps you can place your tag in the spare tire rim? Maybe some type of holder available at your local auto parts store?

I took my bar out (since we don't drink). I am making it more of a medicine cab meets emergency prep area. (fire extinguisher, flash lights, bear spray, etc.)
Just some thoughts (wish I had a garage! Mine stays under a tarp!)

Thanks
Dendy

Have a measurement or a link? The 10-pound tanks at a local rv shop were about 8.25" --- my brackets look to be 9" exactly. I found these online and they're 9.125". Pricey but should fit. I think...

I purchased my propane tanks at Home Depot for $35 or so. They fit perfectly and have been available there for at least 4 years as I had one before I bought the trailer.
Hmmmm. Not my Home Depot...
Are they 10 or 11 pounders?

I just ordered a set of wider-than-usual 10-pounders from a local RV store; $75 each. Every other local store thought I had a screw loose because a 20-pounder would be less expensive...

I checked my tanks, they are Manchester as well.
Listed as 10# cylinders. Purchased at Home Depot for$29.96. Circumference=28.25" / Diameter= 9".
They fit perfectly and are easy to handle.
Deep sigh.
Not at Home Depot around here; and they're headquartered here...
You're killing me.
