Another Dodge

After going 9 month's without a pick-up (first time in my driving life I haven't had one) I traded my 2010 Rubicon for this 2011 2500 Hemi, auto, 4:10's, carpet delete, spray in bed liner from the factory, and so on. Not sure about the step's yet! I added a 2" leveling kit and 285 BFG KM2's. I had no issue with the Rubicon, I just need a truck.

That is one nice truck. Honestly the first 2011 I have liked. I really dig the regular cab long box. Why don't they offer that in the powerwagon again?

That thing is begging for some carli rear leaves, carli control arms, and carli front springs.......then some 37s! You can add in all the fancy shocks and bumps after. No cutting or trimming on the body either I hear.

From what I understand on a hemi truck like yours, you could add the hidden winch mounting brackets from the powerwagon package. That would be another choice modification! From what I remember the winch mounting pattern is still the 4.5 x 10 so you can use most any winch you want. I have the part numbers for the brackets around somewhere.

Can I come over and build it for you :coffeedrink:

Careful with that statement. 1) you need to have at least a 2.0 or 7100 series shock with the Carli leafs or you'll quickly smoke the shocks. 2) There will be some trimming with some carli goodies on the truck, mostly just in the fender liners but if you don't get upgraded bumps, you can hit the fenders slightly. Heard it, seen it, done it and would do it all over again

I may have a set of Power Wagon coils available this spring if things work out with DT ProFab. They ride nicer than the stockers do and add 2" or so of lift.

Nice starting point! I did the same thing once... Bought a Rubicon, loved it, but needed a truck not long after... Replaced mine with a 3500 shortbed QC Cummins truck. The sad story is documented in "My Vehicular ADD Thread".

I think it is time we Dodge owners petition to have the word "Dodge" put in with Ford, Chev and Hummer in the forum description for Domestic Full Size!
There are more threads on our rigs than most of the others together!:elkgrin:

Very clean truck with the perfect color! I special ordered mine from Dave Smith Motors but blew it and didn't order the carpet delete. MY friend bought a contractor special ST version of mine from there also and paid just under $28,000,diesel and all. The regular cabs are so long,that five gallon buckets fit behind the seat. I'm 6'3" and have to push the seat up to drive it. Being it's an ST you've got the manual transfercase also. Dodge eliminated that on the new ones above the ST's. Now if they'd just offer free spin hubs from the factory. Dream on.

Ditch the steps...go to a pair of Kodiac retractable treds. Grease their pivots every 10K or so and you will have no trouble with them and you re-gain the ground clearance. I've had mine for 7 years and LOVE them! That Regular Cab truck looks great!

I love it! The leveling kit makes it just look “right” and the standard cab is perfect! I’m one of the oddballs that would rather have additional room in the bed than in the cab as well.

If I were to buy a brand new truck that is exactly what I would get. A new Dodge Ram 2500 ST regular cab with a gas engine with vinyl seats and rubber floor mat. I am tired of trucks that are so nice inside I am scared to get them dirty. I would love a new Power Wagon in white paint but they are only available in Crew Cabs nowadays and I don’t care for any of the upper level Rams such as an SLT, Outdoorsman, or Laramie because they come with electric shift 4x4 as standard equipment (an option that will leave you stranded while off-road sooner or later). ST and Power Wagon are the only two option packages where you can get a true manual shift transfercase. I love the painted bumpers on the ST’s as well.

And that is coming from a GM guy with 7 GM vehicles and 1 BMW in my household. If Dodge would offer the PW again in a standard cab my 2005 Silverado HD standard cab would be traded in tomorrow.
