Yes it does give us a sense of pride when we can say "I made it." It was a lot of fun coming up with solutions to different parts of the build It is alittle defferent than the welded racks so it had to be done right to be fuctional and I like to think it came out pretty nice.

Thanks Tango, The wife thought I went mad when I told her my idea, and i started tearing lawn chairs up to see if the chair tubing would fit inside the extra ballisters i had from a home deck build.
When ever the check clears!!!

Thank you bat that was the look I was after. I dont think could of ever afforded Gobi rack, IMO. its the best looking rack out there.

clean up your welding skills and ya could start a second business building and selling custom racks. as others have said, look better than lots of other solutions out here. looks great!

Thank you greg, had several offers from people wanting to buy my racks. but i didnt really set out to start up a buiness just a cheaper alternative to what was on the market and the fun of putting something together that I could say "I built"
