i installed yakima tracks on my bed rails and can install crossbars above my tonneau cover. For the most part I will use this for my mountain bike/fishing rods etc. At times I would like to be able to set my kayak up there so i can leave my gear locked in the truck bed. To do this I would need a hitch mounted extender. The only one I found that can do this is the $200 yakima version. Anyone know of another rack that will do this for less $?
Thats what I want to be able to accomplish, if it can angle down like that one so I can use it right off the truck bed too for carrying long lumber etc all the better.
