Any experience with Bestop Supertop for trucks?

Thanks all. There is a local hard shell for my truck not too bad, but back glass is broken. I called Snug Top dealer and the glass is $400. Between that and $500 to paint, I am at the new cost again.

You are looking for a topper for your Toyota right? They run $100-200 around here. $500 for paint is insanity. Just go to an industrial paint store and get them to mix a color match in an enamel. You can spray it yourself with any compressor and a $29 gun. I have painted my 69 F100, my 96 Lexus 450 and the topper I bought for my last Cummins truck this way. For the Dodge topper, I took off the fuel door and they used their scan tool to get a formula for a color match.

You also said "security" a few posts ago. That eliminates a soft top from consideration. They will keep things dry and out of sight, but secure? No.

i have a soft topper for my taco. i've have it for about 8 months. it does flap a bit at highway speed but not in a way that concerns me. you can drive with any panel up up at any time but you need to roll up or remove the rear panel to do so. otherwise it acts like a sail.

i bought one cuz i'm not that interested in toppers but i need one every now and again. i pull it off and keep in the corner of the garage when i'm not using it. its much easier to remove and store then a typical topper.

I have the bestop super topper. I was able to pick it up very cheap from mechanics warehouse.com.

I live in the texas panhandle so the wind is always bad and the only thing that flaps is the buckles that hold the top down when you fold it down.

I had a back glass made from lexan or another variety of plastic at an acrylic place. Cost about $100 and was very nice and light weight. Can get it in a variety of tints also.
