LJ never made it on this side of planet (Europe).So no LJ and no Lj parts(top) in general....
Importing and shipping parts of your collection would be extreamly expensive...

OK, so priorities in place...

1st get the dog. Life without a dog isn't near as much fun as life with a slobbering, hair sheading, tail wagging buddy.
2nd, something quick and easy so you can enjoy the great outdoors with you new best friend.
3rd, start collecting all the materials to build your dream top.

Goldens are amazing dogs. So tuned to their people. I can relate to where you are coming from.

My new buddy could be the grandson of my last buddy. It was a bit eerie at first. I wanted a totally different breed, but he temperament tested so well for therapy work that I couldn't refuse. He has a very different temperament than Super-Mutt version 1.0, and has worked out well.
As Cesar Milan says, "We don't always get the dog we want, but we always get the dog we need."
