Any Opinions on Toytec?

My OME rear coils and shocks came in for my 4runner yesterday, but I'm still trying to figure out which direction to go with the front end. My concern with going OME on the front is the sagging issue once I add armor (bumper, winch, skids) I want a full 2.5 inch minimum. So it has left my thinking about running coilovers and I've been eyeing Toytec for those. http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.ph...ategory_id=71&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=72 Anyone here running those? Opinions?

I have the OME front shock/spring setup on my 4Runner with a TJM front bumper and Bud Built skids and I have no sagging. The suspension has been on the truck for about 75k miles now. I can tell you exactly what springs I have when I get home tonight.

I had a Toytec lift on my 2001 Tacoma. It wasnt coilovers though just the spacers and add a leafs. I think the components in my lift were actually made by Procomp or someone like that. Check and see if Toytec is actually the manufacturer, it might be the same as a bigger name company.

I was in the market for adjustable front suspension and ran across Toytec. Lots of good press out there about them and they're less than Icons so I gave them a shot. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they are made up of Bilstein 5100 shocks with Eibach springs and Toytec's adjustable spring seat. Some people are running them at the max setting of 3.25" of lift.

The ride is good. I've removed my front swaybar and have noticed no add'l body roll which I suspect is due to the stiff springs vs stock.

They're pretty easy to adjust on the truck...remove wheel, hold back on the lower collar and turn the upper collar. I used a 3' breaker bar in addition to the supplied wrenches for leverage. Some people advise spraying WD-40 on the threads the night before to loosen them up but I haven't had to do that so far. Be careful not to twist the wrenches!

I've got them at about 1.5 in lift now and I love the ride they give me. No I don't work for Toytec:coffeedrink:

I have a 2003 DC Tacoma, and I am running the toytec ultimate 3 inch lift with the Dakar Rear leaf springs and I love mine. I have the heavy coils which I believe are 650lbs. if memory serves me correct and I have an ARB front bumper with no winch and its good to go!:smiley_drive:
