Any Way to Make ARE Aluminum Skinned Cap More Resilient to Dents?

I recently picked up an older ARE contractors cap off Craigslist. The Aluminum skin is so thin and will dent from the lightest touch.
Is there any material I could glue to the inside of the aluminum to make it more resilient to dents?
