Anybody using the Cap-Pack with their truck topper?

Just wanted to see if any of the folks out there in expoland are using the Cap-Pack with their truck toppers. In short the product appears to be a gear storage solution that operates similar to a bed slide but it is mounted to the roof of the truck topper. Seems like a brilliant idea for storage. Combine the Cap-Pack, with the topper ez-lift or the decked system and you have an endless series of storage options, and a pop up camper all in one. For a heck of a lot less weight and cost of a slide in camper.

If any one is using the Cap-Pack, I would be stoked to get your thoughts on the product. Likewise, if any one is using the topper easy lift system on their tacoma, I would be stoked to hear about it as well.

If it mounts directly to the roof of the topper, I'd be concerned about weight capacity, especially if you are putting stuff on a roof rack. Most fiberglass toppers are fairly limited in that regard. Looks slick though.

It would seem that this is basically the same thing as the leer product. From what I have been able to find, they made them for Leer. Seems to hold more than enough weight, given that most items would be fairly thing. Looks like a good unit for hunting gear, chairs, fishing poles and the like. For me, The appeal would be for things that are rarely used that just end up taking up space in the bed of my tacoma. Straps, ropes, shovels, axes, hi lift etc etc. I have topper rack bars on my ARE cap but rarely use them. Most of the time they are carrying less than a hundred pounds. I like to have the racks for the simple utility, but just like when I go backpacking... I try to keep stuff from hanging off my bag, and keep stuff off my roof. For me, the biggest question mark is how well would the brackets and unit hold up to the constant side to side shifting movements that come from the bed movement when off road. The thing is, that it is almost cheap enough to just roll the dice and see how it holds up. The problem is, the topper is too expensive to roll the dice on. It looks like the hard ware is stout enough to prevent too much wiggling. I suspect it would also be fairly easy to reinforce the frame of this unit to the Yak rail mounting slides the racks go into.

Either way, it is highly appealing. This unit with the decked system and topper has to a really solid set up for camping, storage and what not while keeping you south of 5 thousand bucks. I have the Mid rise ARE MX topper so loss of space would be fairly limited.

For what its worth, My Tacoma is a regular cab. So a huge part of the appeal is added locking dry storage since there is basically none in the truck.
