Anyone build a custom cargo box/sleeping platform?

There's been several for the jeeps. However most that I've seen for the JK are only a few inches tall.

Over 76" of space/w front seats all forward-

Keeps all the recovery/HiLift/tools gear hidden and secure-

Im trying to find more pictures, build ups in a JK, Im thinking my next rig just may be a JK. Id remove the rear seats, but thinking of building something like in my 4runner, (the link in the first post)with a few additions/mods the platform, Im thinking the height will have to be shorter, but maybe adding an other (small) drawer where the rear doors would open, still have to figure out either CO2 or some sort of OBA with tank but that's another day/thread lol

Just a tape measure/pencil/scissors--almost no cost-

Drawit on scratch paper--make a trial piece-then tryit--remember doors/lights/accessability and ease of removal, you can doit all with cardboard/masking tape-

Then when you've found the size/shape--makeit with 1/2--3/4 " plywood and most cargo loops/bkts/hinges/screws, are available at LOWES-

Just be sure and paint/coat the plywood after all drilling/glueing/cutting---BINGO

Just makeit a family project--no rush

Good luck

Has anyone actually built a sleeping platform in a JK (2 Door) and removed the Front seat? I want to be able to remove the Front seat and put the platform/drawer system in when I head out, reverse that when I am just in town or going somewhere for the day. I am looking all over the web and not really finding anything.

I'm planning a summer project to build a sleeping platform with some underneath storage that will require the removal of the front passenger seat. It's a 2 door JK. It's quite easy to remove the seats. My goal will be to provide a box for storage with a roll-up sleeping pad/ect (I purchased a tri-folding mattress that's quite comfortable) with potentially the ability to have my cooler underneath the front passenger seat area if possible. I would like to be able to have removable curtains? so I could potentially change in the vehicle if needed and I want the box to be only wide enough for one person so I can sit on it while in the back of the jeep.

Thanks guys! I am reading about annoying idiot lights from the Front Seat removal causing the air bag sensor to alarm. Any ways around that? a reprogram perhaps?
