I seen them in a youtube video says they use the same company that builds smittybuilt tents for half the cost. Just wondering anyone here has one. the company is located in Gun Barrel City, Tx.

let me know any feedback good or bad!

I have not specifically heard of them, but the idea that someone could successfully manufacture, import, market and deliver a rooftop tent at half the price point of Smittybilt rings alarm bells.

There is a notable difference in weight and quality of materials between some of the top range tents, middle ground units, and more bargain models. Occasional standouts might exist, but to cut price point by half again from the current low end seems like it would have to involve a step down in materials, design, and production quality.

I’ve only owned Tepui and CVT between my 4 tents, but I have had close contact with and inspected models by Autohome, IKamper, Smittybilt, FSR and maybe one or two others. Anyone claiming “same factory” isn’t claiming “same tent”, and I would be careful where I put my money. If you are jumping into a starter RTT to see if you like it, and trying to save some dollars, maybe check out the used market or rent a few for shakedown trips first?

You are pretty right I do believe I will wait and just get one used. I have to get a bed rack and such anyway for it.

I have one of there trailers with the tent on top. It’s been great. When we started building his trailers he was buying Smittybuilt tents. When they decided to built there trailers the sent him a letter telling him to stop using there tents.
after some research he found the company that made the tents for Smitty and also found out the didn’t have or own a patent on the tent so he had a truck load of them made but upgraded the things he thought needed upgrading. He was getting them the same price at they were just not sticking people with the added price that comes with a big company name.
We have had our trailer for two years gone to 7 states 12 national parks over 10k miles.
never a single problem with the tent or trailer.

Cheap is expensive.... very expensive. Let's circle back, and see how right I am.
