Looking to tow a skid steer with a 06 Fe180.

I know it has a bit more power then the fg but just wondering if any one has experience towing abd how much it weighed

or go for air brakes on the trailer.
mine uses a gast electric air compressor under the truck bed then hydraulic to air actuators to work the trailer brakes .
plus nice compressor for blowing up tyres etc .

It is nice to see their pretty capable I live in Alberta Canada. Where you seem to need an massive Dodge diesel to tell anything. even small items I guess that's just the redneck way

mine gets used to get up mountain tracks . across desert tracks in morocco. it seems to take it . got its limits of course.
the trailer as been dragged around behind a vw lt50 before i built the mitsubushi. even the vw did it ok.
i,m sure in 1987 when the trailer was built they never imagined where it would later be used .
would have been nice to have the 4x4 fuso under the trailer but i think i might break it then .
but the canter makes a lovely mini artic .

the trailer is 20ft long . altogether its 33ft long .
its not a true real off roader by a long way but its amazing where i can take it .
it puts 50% of the trailer weight on the fifth wheel . if going to maroc i load the front of the trailer full of beer and wine in all the front seating area . gives it much more traction . it surprises many when i turn up somewhere out the way. have broke a rear spindle on one axle and bent another a few years ago. but fitted two new axles and hope it will carry on several more years . i do carry a chinese dax m,bike in the back . ideal for checking the tracks first etc .
