Hi folks. I am the XVENTURE product manager from Schutt Industries. If you have any questions I am at your service. I'l do my best to chime in here as often as possible.

You are the person i need to talk to. I am an options oriented person. I like options & being able to use one item in many different configurations. I will apologize in advance for all of my questions.

Can it be had with 8 x 6.5" steel rims (6" backspace on my Dodge PW rims) on the 4200 lb version ? If so, how much extra $$$ ?

Will 35" tires fit with that 6" backspace & still have full susp travel without hitting fenders or tub ? Even when hauling max weight ?

Can it be had with "elec prep package" (boxes on outside pass side of front box & 12 switches for various things) ?
I would like to install my own battery/s, blue sea 12 circuit w/neg bus fuse block/s, cables & lugs. Plans: white lights (above & under), red lights, green lights, blue lights under, ARB dedicated fridge, ARB dedicated freezer (may be in truck bed, IDK yet), ARB twin compressor w/tank, weatherproof dual/quad USB 2.1 amp charging, 12v outlets, etc.., etc.. .

Is the 12v water pump easily accessible by owner ? If so, how ? Would i have to drop the entire skid plate &/or tank ? Is it bolted or riveted ?

How much weight can the 4 uprights & RTT rack support ? Thinking of a below rack horizontal spare tire holder, so i can use the swing away spare tire holder to mount our two bicycles.

Would there be room for the spare under the rear of trailer w/water tank ?

Can the tri-fold hard bed cover be used with the 4 uprights ?

Can it support any weight ? Like 2 bicycles w/front tires off-mounted to blockheads (which would be mounted through & to the tri-fold cover.

Just trying to get some thoughts/ideas figured out in my head, so again, i apologize for all the questions. Not sure if these should be asked to you or the selling dealer.

I am ex military & know these things are EXTREMELY rugged.

Thanks again.

I saw they have a trailer just marked under 10k with an ARB RTT, awning, awning room(I think) and chairs. Pretty cool packaged deal if I'd say so myself. If I didn't have a TD I'd jump on that deal since I'm too lazy to build my own set up.

Hi TwinStick, thank you for your inquiry.
-You can use most any Lug Pattern you want on XVENTURE. The only lug pattern we charge extra for are the 8 Lug patterns. These are $100 each extra.
- Our stock Chassis/Axle combo provides full travel clearance for up to 42" tire.
- XV-2 comes with 6 switchable fused circuits as standard equipment. The front cabinet was engineered for ARB's 50Qt Fridge-tie down-Thermal Blanket kit, Comes with a Goal Zero Yeti 400 and all USB charging. Our battery mounting compartment is designed for 2 batteries in parallel. so adding your battery is no problem We usually add an Odyssey-75 as the secondary batt.

The trailer has 4: 12V Cig lighter style outlets preinstalled and all 6 switched circuits terminate to Military Deutsch connectors at various points on the trailer. These are provided for lighting at all four corners under chassis, 4 points in Cargo Bed, and extensive lighting on Rack Tray. Additionally the system can provide switched protected control for additional Fuel Pump, Winch, etc. Not sure why you would need 12 switched circuits on a trailer ni addition to the constant-feed supply lines. Please explain your requirement for 12 switches?

Standard Equipment is Shoreline 110-In, 110-Out, and Pass-through are all integrated on the Passenger side of the Front Cabinet.

As with everything else on XVENTURE, she has the best lighting packages in the business. I personally developed these system and used them daily on a 20,000 mile USA trek last year over 8 months. Implementation and placement of all modules is optimal. Have a look - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHeVok6TzbQ

Regarding your compressed air requirement, you clearly are looking to drive air tools. The front Cabinet normally houses the Single Cylinder compressor. The Twin is to large for that space si there are various other mounting locations possible. We usually instal air-tanks under the cargo bed. and provision air connects under the Fender Steps with all other provided quick connects for water and LP.

- Water pump is easily accessible from an easily accessible cover plate on the back panel of the water tanks armor cradle. No need to drop the cradle assembly to maintenance the water pump or related plumbing enclosed in the armored cradle.
- The Elevating Rack System is rated for 1500 LBS static capacity, however we only recommend traveling at speed with a max of 500 LBS when raised due to C.O.G. issues. Mounting the tire underslung on the rack tray is an excellent place for it, however you will lose your visual through the rear view mirror which s now completely unobstructed.
- I do not recommend placing a spare under the trailer cargo bed as that would severely diminish your departure angle. If you really need 2 spares on your rig then either place it on top of the James Baroud Grand Raid or on our excellent Swing Away Tire Carrier.
- Our Hard Folding Locking Tonneau cover is a 5 panel configuration that allows the user to fold it from the front of the cargo bed back, or the back forward.. The Hard and Soft Tonneau's are of course engineered to be used with the Elevating Rack System.

I highly recommend you visit the XVENTURE website and Facebook page for all in-depth information regarding these products and take a look at the extensive imagery.

Can the entire 4 uprights & rack be removed from trailer ? So i could make my own hard top & bolt it on ? (My thoughts are for a 63 qt or 80 qt ARB fridge & not sure how much space (vertically in inches) i would lose with the Cargo Glide. Also love the fact that it could be used as another table when empty.

Is there any type of assist in the rack (for lift it when a RTT is on or a basket with stuff in it) ?

Thanks

The rack or entire rack system is easily removable. Rack assist kit is not ready yet, but if you set everything up right you really won't need it.

If i was to get the complete elec system with battery, does the battery charge from the tow vehicle while driving ? My truck has the standard 7 pin plug.

Yes indeed. Just ensure your 7 Pin Receptacle is not just an adapter from a 4-Pin. Also important is you must have a Brake Controller installed. Unless you are crazy of course:)

Done and done. It is in fact a 7 pin. The 4 pin is a totally separate plug in a separate location. Brake controller already installed. :)

Pics of the front compartment

Hi Twinstick, I'm a little slow to the keyboard but I do get there. Attached are two pics of the passenger side front compartment on the XVenture2. This is the electrics side. The center section is set up for gas cans, the driver side for the ARB Fridge. The single cylinder ARB compressor, the Goal Zero, the second battery, and the pass throughs for 110 and solar wires are all in the pic..
I read your requirements above, they are quite high. The trailer is quite capable of filling your needs, you'll just have to configure it a little differently. I use 2 50qt ARB fridge instead of one large one. One in the trailer and one in the Jeep. As noted, we are truly happy with the performance of ours. We're gone again on Friday, Arizona calls.

Pictures look great. But just to be clear, the center compartment was indeed sized for Jerry Cans. However we do not endorse or recommend that fuel is stored in that space under any circumstances. Use it for an additional 10 gallons of water or dry-goods and cooking utensils.

DO NOT store fuel in that space as there are electrical components in the cabinet. In the unlikely event there was a short or malfunction causing sparks the cabinet would turn into one hella bomb.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the pics. Please bear with me here. Is that Goal Zero also a/the 12v battery ? If not, where are the battery/ies ? Also, have you used the arb single compressor much ? Curious how well it works. I figured i would need the arb dual compressor & an air tank for quick tire repair & refill & probably most certainly for an air impact, to also aid in quick tire changes on truck or trailer (side of the highway repairs are dangerous).

How long can you stay gone with 2 ARB 50 qts until you run out of food ? Do you use one as a freezer ?

Again, i apologize for my enth * questions. Your patients is appreciated. :)

The pic shows the Goal Zero 400 battery and my second 12 v battery is directly below it. I am using an Odyssey 1200 series for the second battery, I got the one with side terminals to avoid the possibility of it bouncing up and shorting. It is also closer to the rating of the Goal Zero, my feeling is that 2 batteries of similar ratings will be happier working together than one large capacity and one small. I also think the smaller ARB compressor will be fine if you are going to have a tank, a 3 gal tank would run an impact. Personally, I would just get a Craftsman battery impact, 200 lb. model. For repairs, you will only be removing/installing one wheel.
When I air up, I find the ARB single to be fine, the chuck they supply hooks on, so I set it and walk away to do something else, you do not have to hold it in place.
We can go for a week easily with the 2 fridge setup, more really, depending on what meals we choose to make. We use both as fridge. I carry 10 gal of gas in the AEV fuel caddy, obviously we have 22 gals of water on the trailer and capacity for 10 more in the front cabinet.

Getting ready... : ) Bob
