Anyone have experience using Escrow.com for a sale?

Hope you don’t mind me posting this inquiry here, but I figured this forum thread would have a better response as to whether any of you have used this escrow service. If this seriously offends anyone, let me know and I’ll move the post.

As you know, trying to buy or sell a vehicle at a distance in the states is fraught with the possibility of fraud.

I frustratingly recently had a good deal on a vehicle purchase collapse mainly because I couldn’t figure out a good, safe way to buy a rig 1600 miles away...one that I could not fly in to deal with personally.

So, here’s my plea for your assistance:

If any of you have used this Escrow.com or a similar service to facilitate a distant purchase or sale, could you please share your opinion/experience?

I used Escrow.com for the purchase of my rig. I had a similar trust issue so I sought out an escrow service to ensure everything went smoothly. It was def worth the money (which wasn't really that much end of the day).

Go for it man, you won't regret it.

I bought a vehicle in 2005 using escrow.com, went fine.. got a hell of a deal too.

Thx guys....it is incredibly helpful to get the actual, first person experiences from other Expo members in investing things like this.

Could any of you explain in detail how this worked for you?

I tried to get better, specific info from their site but was pushed first into having to put in lots of info, which I didn’t want to do until I better understood how the service worked.
