Anyone have experience with Line-X in cargo area (not truck bed)

My bronco has had the entire interior line-x. Its great for when you hop in with muddy shoes and I can literally hose it out, and offers a tiny bit of noise reduction and insulation. Unfortunately its peeling off on some places where it was prepped poorly I figure. Also its a royal pita when trying to mess with anything that is underneath it. I have over the years added things like different seat belts, roll cage, center console, taken the seat in and out, etc. I hated having the line-x there when doing any of that. So.. make sure you have everything configured the way you want it and it is prepped well!

Great advice, thanks!

Have you seen the rubber cargo liners from S.O.R. for the 60? They are fitted just like a carpet kit but are heavy duty rubber (think truck bed mat) . They offer better wear, sound, and durability. You can get them for the entire cargo area (floor, tailgate, and the back of the rear seat) Just a thought. You can see them at www.sor.com

How about bumpers? Anyone spray their bumpers w/ Line-X or something similar??

I have a set of Reunel bumpers that are starting to show a little bit of rust and will need a repaint and I was thinking a Line-X or something similar could be a cool durable option.

Any feedback?

thanks

Summer of '06 I did the entire cabin of my 4runner with duraback...pedals to tailgate. My thought was it will eliminate the old musty smell of the carpet while making it easier to clean, and reduce some of the noise. Well it did make it easier to clean HOWEVER, it made my truck unbearably noisy. every sound echo's through the cabin and my truck is actually quieter with the top off. So about two days ago i started the removal process, my back, arms, hands, you name it is sore as hell. I'm going to be installing edead, with a thick mat, and marine carpet so my truck will actually be pleasant to drive. If i read correctly you're looking to put it in your 60, i would think you'd have similar issues with your truck being even bigger and with more sheet metal than mine. If you really don't like your carpet soaking up water and smelling like a swamp, i would look into installing marine carpet, and put some big rubber mats down with lips on the edge, to catch the water.

That sounds like an interesting alternative - I just tried to sort through the SOR site, but it slays me every time, I end up lost and never do find what I need, though the irony is I usually find more that I want.

I've got to go finish dinner now but will check it out when I have more time. Thanks for the tip.
