Well... I have the shorter one in the back of my truck for holding my water can, I just removed the locking strap so my can would fit, It works! For its intended purpose with Wedco/NATO you cans I think You would find them fine, call AB parts and the will be glad to discuss them w/you. stay safe, mjmcdowell
