ANYONE INSTALL BODY LIFTS ON 1/2-ton & 3/4-ton CHEVROLET / GMC TRUCKS?

Has anyone have any experience installing body lifts on 1/2-ton or 3/4-ton Chevrolet or GMC trucks? We have only seen a few kits out there. If anyone has installed these body lift kits, how have they worked out? We're they easy to install, and do you like/regret the decision to use them? Can you recommend any good manufacturers of body lift kits?

Our goal is to simply be able to add a larger tire size without having to install a lift kit in the truck. We're thinking about installing Buckstop bumpers on the front and rear, and we don't know if having a body lift installed would affect the mounting or functionality of these bumpers. I read somewhere that you cannot tow heavy with a body lift kit, but I haven't verified this. We want to continue towing too, so that is another question about the utility of the body lift kits. Thanks! :)

I have a 4 inch body lift on my old Chevy. Never had any problems towing heavy trailers. I do run an automatic transmission. I have heard some guys say that the clutch linkage can be a challenge with huge body lift. Thats my 2 cents worth.. Cheers Chilli...:)

Thanks!

Our Silverado is a 2001 model. If it helps, I read that 1999-2006 are the pretty much the same in terms of engine, undercarriage, and suspension components.
