Anyone know of a vehicle insurer who covers the full cost of a modified camper van?

So our current wonderful insurance company, in the recent renewal letter of our auto policy, is declining to value our camper van at its full professionally aftermarket modified cost/value.

It will only value and insure the van for the value of the underlying, bare-bones empty cargo model. this was not a problem with our previous two professionally modified campers.

But hey, insurance companies can do whatever the hell they feel like, right? So changing the coverage on our policy on a short notice is par for the course I suppose.

Anyway….

Can any of you recommend an insurer other than USAA that will insure a professionally aftermarket modified camper for its true value?

any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated

Try tredder, it’s a secondary insurer so you will need to add this to a regular policy.

It’s not an all in one solution like you have requested but it may work for you. I’ve used them a few times and the cover in Mexico as well.
