Well I am working hard to not only spend less money (failing pretty well there) but to also declutter and simplify my life.
This leads to going through my stuff and looking for things to sell off, give away or toss.

So for anyone who likes to work on Ham Radios I have a gem that you are welcome to.
Free
Yeasu 7800 that just doesn't work, no idea why, I thought it worked fine when I pulled it but when I put power to it now nothing.
You are welcome to this radio as I have replaced it with a 2900 that I love.

Pay to repair
Yeasu VX6 with a bad power inlet. The radio will take a charge if I ground the input plug to the radio body. I do not have the skills with the soldier iron to fix this and honestly as much as I would like this radio I know I will mess it up worse trying to fix it.
If you want to give it a go and fail no worries, if you get it fixed and the cost is reasonable then I am happy to pay a bit.

So who wants to play with radios?

The HT sounds like an easy fix. I would think you could find a local ham to take care of that for you. The 7800 is a bit harder to call, but given that it worked when taken out of service there is a good change it is a simple problem as well. I'm a long way off but I would be happy to help if AmocaT or someone local does not work out for you.
