Anyone parting a Gen 2 or 2.5?

Thanks for the replies - I need a couple random things. For example, I need the grill and mounting hardware that goes above the front skid plate but below the front bumper. I also need a working retractable radio antenna, as mine is stuck down. Also, I would like to get hold of a set of 4.6 front and rear diffs/axles from a mid-90's SR, for my '99.

Late to the party, but have a solution for the trim above skid.

I used a piece of expanded metal and the same screw holes to attach. I have a picture on my "New to the Montero group...) thread

Found it. Painted it the same color as the, skid plate.

When you use your antenna, do you hear the motor running or not? If the motor is working then you only need to replace the antenna mast, not the entire antenna assembly. The plastic track that is attached to the mast and is driven by the motor will break and no longer drive the mast up and down.

I think my antenna power has been disconnected. The aftermarket head unit in my Montero does not have an antenna up/down control, so I would assume the antenna would just go up when the radio is turned on... But it does not. I think it must not have been wired into the aftermarket head unit's power...

Your antenna should not get power from the radio itself, just a signal, if you remove the plastic wheel well liner you should be able to see the antenna and whether is connected or not to a power supply, maybe a prior owner just unplugged it.

Or it might be a blown fuse somewhere/ short somewhere.

My antenna would go up and down with the factor stereo, but stopped doing it once I installed an aftermarket stereo. I may have missed a wire, but I actually didn't mind as I don't listen to the radio much and the antenna is too high for my tastes.

I want mine to go up and down when the radio is on and off. Definitely would appreciate any tips on how to get it to do so with the aftermarket radio.
