anyone seen these trailers?

I think a person could find something a bit better for $1500. I could build one of those things for less than $500 even including the cost for a pipe bender.

The Harbor freight trailers are straight axle with no suspension so they are not a good comparison.

I think you could buy all the parts and pieces to build a comparable trailer for the prices they ask. But why would you when you can buy it and spend the time using it instead of building it?

The 800# capacity sucks, you could use that up pretty fast. I wonder why they don't use a heavier torsion axle?

I met the guy that owns that company at REI in Phoenix and looked at the one he had behind his very small car.
I couldn't believe the price! I just made a rack for my harbor frieght small trailer and it does the same thing for a quarter the price. and I've had my HF trailer for 10+ years.
good luck to the guy! we all know people will buy them... not me

They have springs and are plenty cheap. $199

The Harbor Freight trailers look like an option for me. I would really like to take some toys with my car on a nice light trailer... not necessiarly off road.

Is the HF trailer long enough to clear a good size kayak or canoe?

Guess I need to go check out one :)

On the budget end of the scale the most cost effective trailers for hauling bikes, kayaks, and such are,

HF's boat trailer

I saw these trailers in person last year at Outdoor Retailer and I have to say, they're quite impressive as a basecamp when you're not in extreme backcountry terrain. Light, multi-functional, easy to setup.

You're right though. 1ft off the ground probably wouldn't work so well for us overland types, eh? ;)

Its a great idea for small cars and light duty aplications.. and for those who are not handy with tools.. a no brainer type thing to tow behind a honda element or even a honda fit for that matter.. For those on here I doubt it would fly.. but it gives ideas to the basics..

Sorta basic like the old hosclaw trailers to tow dirtbikes and such from the 70's.. basic, light and it just works,, but not cheap..
