Good question...I worked on a d2 where the owner tried this, never could get rid of the vibrations. Tried balance beads, weights inside, weights outside, different lugnuts, rotating the tires, rotating the wheel on hub, everything...it always had a vibration, and this was with bfg km's. Switched back to alloys, no problem. Put a set of bfg at's on the rims and it was worse...

Don't have a answer on why they didn't work, but after working on it for two weeks finally gave up and he's been running alloys ever since with zero issues.

i vote bent wheels, and a bad balance.

i work on mercedes, range rovers, bmw, jags, etc. i'm not cheaping out, i'm asking why not. i realize the jacked up prices are due to the availability of the wheels and that it says Range Rover.

new take off rims, 30 miles on them, not bent, no dings, nothing. Had them balanced four different times at two different shops

Like I said, knock yourself out, If it was just me I say try it, but many have tried all with the same result
