Aoudad hunting?

Anyone hunted free range Aoudad in West TX or NM? I'd like to go do it in the next year or so.

I myself do not hunt Aoudad but I have lived in , camped, hiked, and explored LOTS of New Mexico over the past 15 years, there is an awful lot of space to hide in this state. I will be keeping an eye out for these incredible animals! The Aoudad seems to be fitting into the New Mexico landscape same as the Oryx has. (Both from Africa). I have eaten Oryx taken from the White Sands Missle Range area it is a great meat. Oryx is a hunt you should look into as well, although I'm sure it isn't as challenging as the Aoudad. :rappel:

I've taken Gemsbok (Oryx) in South Africa already, aoudad are native to Chad though. Not somewhere you want to go these days. Some of the US herds have been wild for over 50 years, they say there are more wild Aoudad in the US now than in North Africa.
