ARB Adventure Light

I have the older non-led style. LOVE the light. Great in the RTT, great around camp and great for working on the truck. It's taken dozens of drops, the cord is long and the battery draw is small,

To be honest there isn't a whole lot that I don't like about this light. It's a strong part of my kit. I think the only thing I'm always getting it dirty.

thanks Pete
I read your review over on the Sierra site.

I would however think the LED vs. non would be almost incomparable...aside from the structure and integrity of the housing, I'd think the light given off would be very different.

anyone else?

I bought the Vision X LED Worklight from Sierra Expeditions. A very similar unit. Two thumbs up for performance and recharging options. The Vision X comes with a wall charger, doesn't look like the ARB does. But the ARB comes with alligator clips and the Vision X doesn't.

Not saying the Vision X is better or worse but I do like the carry bag the ARB unit comes with. I didn't get that with the Vision X light. The hook at the end of the units are key. It will also snap off rather easily if not careful. I superglued it back on easily enough though. I was also surprised that the Vision X lights don't go 'all the way' around, it has a back on it.

I've been in camps with the previous ARB worklight and liked it. I have no complaints with the Vision X either. But that ARB carry bag is cool, wish I had that...

I also have the ARB fluorescent light. I would give it two thumbs up, and recommend it to anybody. I like the idea of the LED one, I think it would give off a nicer spectrum of light. Although the fluorescent light does not attract many bugs.
