ARB Bull bar install on '04 Tacoma

I'll be happy to take some pics tomorrow when I get to work on it.

What do you mean by "pin through radiator"? Is there a way to mount this thing directly to the AC condenser and not the hood support and other crossmembers? Right now my mounting is, IMO, spooky at best. The way TRD says to do it is just fine, but my way took out the lord mounts so there is no vibration insulation.

Post some pictures if you can, I would be really interested in seeing what you come up with for the trans cooler remount. I've had to deal with similar re-located but they were not the TRD setups rather "pin through radiator" setups.

Many of the "off the shelf" coolers from the parts store will include something like this:

They basically pull through the condensor and through the new cooler and stack the two together. The install really isn't any easier, but it allows the two to be pretty snug.

That's infinitely better than my existing solution. I'll have to see if they'll sell me these parts (or someone else). :) Pics of my nasty install in a couple hours....

EDIT:

OK, no pics, thanks to me not finding the camera. I ended up getting a Hayden 677 cooler, trashing the TRD (it hurt to do, but it had suffered some debris strikes and was close to cracking anyway, it turned out) and pulling the ARB off.

So far the 677 works, but the hose clamps allow some leakage, despite tightening to Hayden's specs. So at this point, I'm not sure what my next step will be. I may just run the factory cooler and say "F-it", or I may invest in another TRD cooler and some AN-to-barbed fittings (couplings, not 90's) and try that route, again.

Such fun!
