ARB bumper light question...

I have an ARB bumper that was originally for a TJ on my Scrambler. While I like the design and how it is now mounted, it makes the parking/turn signals pretty much useless so I have a question. Does anyone know if the marker lights built into the ARB can be made to function as blinkers? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

On the Tacoma bumper they are the blinkers. I think the openings are the same, so just wiring the blinkers to the bumper and replacing the bulbs should do it.

Me too. Do the lights have 2 or 3 wires coming out of them? If they have 3, they're combo turn signal/markers.

I'm pretty sure they only have two but I'll double tap to make sure. If it needs three, could I wire in LED style ones instead?

Mine only have 2 wires and blink, you simply tap into the stock blinker wires, too easy.

on the older ARB bullbars they are actually intended to be used as blinkers instead of markers. it just depends on which lead you draw power from.

There are many stories of lenses, wiring, etc. melting because they were not intended to be lit continuously for long periods.

If you wish to use them as front marker lights I'd recommend trying to find or make, if you are so inclined, an LED array to fit. You'll have less current draw and less heat to contend with.

I had one on the nose of my old XJ. Mine came ready to wire up to splice into the existing blinker wires. I ran them on a constant burn. To each their own.

Well here we go...haha! I decided to fuss with them the other day and tapped into the lights in the grille but couldn't get the markers in the bumper to work. Pulled the covers and both lights are DOA. Bulbs were shattered and rusted into the sockets, most of whatever metal inside was done, and one of the lenses had melted from the PO I guess.
So now I am on the search to find some LEDs that will fit in and not give me any more issues. I've read that VW somethings have lights that are a direct fit and could be sourced online as an LED replacement deal. Anyone have any links or sources for these? They sure should go well with my Trucklites LEDs.
