ARB bumper lights

Now if only we could find fog surrounds that could be plasma cut into the older tacoma, etc. ARB bumpers, we'd be set :).

They definitely can/have been modded into older bumpers, I've got a template here for the cut and the surrounds are available loose for a fair price. I actually planned to do this on my 04' Tacoma winchbar but the dimensions didn't quite work right, I think it could be make to work but the angles on the insert versus that of the bumper are off and it seemed to me it would look pretty retrofitted? Its honestly been a few years since I looked at it close. I have the surround inserts herein stock, I may go hold them up to my Tacoma again today and snap a pic or two. It would be nice to have some additional light up front.

That would be awesome if you gave it a shot. I don't like having a factory switch on my steering column that doesn't do anything ;). I read a post on TTORA referencing you regarding the ARB 6821201 kit being put into 05+ bumpers. Haven't seen one in 01-04 yet. Looking at a couple side by side shots it seems like getting the surround to cover the 01-04 turn signal might be an issue..haven't done the measurements yet though.

I recall a thread, not certain of the forum, where an enterprising 01-14 owner cut 4" holes in his bumper, rolled some metal inserts, cut to the appropriate angle, welded them in place and recess mounted 4" fogs into the bumper. He did a really nice job but it was a lot of work.

Any chance of getting a copy of that template? I ordered some of the surrounds from you a while back but haven't gotten around to cutting the bumper yet.

You bet, give me a ring tomorrow and we'll figure out how to get you one.

I run mine as running lights not signals and have no problem with them heating up and warping anything. .

That was the info i got from ARB. Mine had what appeared to be 1156 bulbs (to corroded to tell for sure) and the one bulb that still had the glass, was touching both sides of the housing. I could see where that would create heat problems.

The center of both housings (where the bulb sits) were warped bad. Bad enough that the lenses came out of the bumper, but the housings wouldn't slide out. :snorkel:

I like the round fog/driving light idea! The new style ones look great.
