ARB Bushranger Sand Tracks

On the Sierra Expeditions site there are pictures of it rolled up. They also sell them individually, so I assume one will work when put under the power wheels (rear R, and front L). I know Wil did a review of them along side the MAXTRAX, but I was unable to find it.

Let him chime in.

:sombrero: I've got a set of (2)

If you've got lockers, I suppose you would only need one, but

Thats like carrying your 1911, .45 and no magazines

They roll up to about the size of a FAT lunch box with the handle

You'll carry one Maxtrax, for two years and never use it, then you get stuck on the edge of a 3800 ft canyon and need two to get you out !!!

Course I have an OBA, but always carry an extra compressor!!!

If you get two, you can always loan one out and still be covered !!!

Suit yourself--

Read some reviews on the Sand Tracks and most were negative. i.e., just rolled up under the tires, etc. So are these a waste of money?

Bumping an old thread to see what owners of the ARB Sand Tracks think of them and if they could relate stories of actual use.

Thanks!

Thanks Will! I did look at those and I'd like to see if anyone here has used the new or old versions. I'd like to get a little more confidence to spend the bucks on those. Nice that they are on sale. I don't know if the free shipping is still in effect.

No. Think of a MaxTrax as a big day-glo board. Lightweight but rigid.

The ARB X-Trax are more like the tread of a tank and 18 pounds each

X2. Maxtrax are rigid, and are not to be used as bridging ladders (can be done though) and X-Trax are flexible.

We have instructions posted on our website for both of the products.
