ARB rear bumper installed

Cabrito

I come in Peace
I finally got around to installing my rear ARB bumper that I got at the PMC swap meet last month.

No – it is not an incredibly stout bumper but for my personal needs I think it will work pretty well. I would like to eventually build my own with swing-outs.
I got some great info from the iH8Mud sight from some really old posts from others installing this on their trucks. The bumper is an older model and it fits like a glove.
The hardest part of this installation was getting the stock bumper mounts off the frame. They were attached with these really big industrial rivet type connectors. I had to drill them out and knock the heads off with a chisel and then pop them out of the frame. The bumper needed a little coaxing with the pry bar but it went right in.
Over on Mud one post said the stock Jack Handle & Rod assembly was not long enough to get under the frame and lower the spare. I found this to be incorrect and mine worked fine. Perhaps the MUD person did not have all the rod extensions in his kit.

I pretty much like how it looks.

I also attached the items that had to be removed for the bumper to be installed.

I sure hope the URL links work.

I like that a lot. I think I'll build something along those lines for my 60. Thanks for the pics.
