ArcHaus™ Shelter & Tailgate Tent

Hi all, I´m new to this forum and i just had my FJ cruiser for 3 month soon.
One of the reasons why i got it was that we rented a Ssangyong with a rooftoptent on Iceland this summer, and we really liked it.

But my FJ doesnt have a roofrack, and that plus a RTT is quite expensive, so i´ve been looking at this solution instead.

So my question is if anyone have used it and know if they are good, or if you have any other suggestions.

The plan is to drive around in Norway this comming spring/summer, and sleep in the rear of the FJ with the door open.

I've been looking into something similar myself.
In my web searching I read a comment that made me rethink. If you only camp overnight then it might be O.K. but if you want to stay anywhere for more than one night, you'll have de-rig and rig up the tent every time you use the vehicle.
I'm now looking at a stand alone tent, I can leave set up on its own.
Oh and leaving the door open means you have a lot bigger area to heat.

You can just unconnect the tent and drive away if you need to.
But for our trip i think it´s not going to be many nights at the same spot anyway.

And i dont think cold will be a problem, i´m more conserned to get more ventilation in there.

My concern would be how well it seals to keep bugs out. Mosquitos have this knack for finding any small crevice or crack to sneak in.

I have one. I use it for storage when we camp for a while and take a day trip. Also...I use it as the shower room when we camp for a long time.
I wouldn't use it if you concerned about insects....the Archaus has no floor....

It's not too difficult to set up....putting it back into the travel bag is a PITA ;)

Thx for the tips, that last tent looks quite good, and much lower price to :)
But i´m concerned about mosquitos also, so maybe it´s better to sleep in the car with the door closed and have some vents made as inserts in the frontdoor windows.
