Are There Rack Bases/Feet for Series "L" Cargo Track

So does anyone know if there are Bases/Feet for a rack system that interface with Series L Cargo Track? The Series L track (http://www.sure-lok.com/products/floor-anchor-systems/series-l-track.html) is pretty awesome stuff. I'd like to be able to put some up on the shell and then be able to make a conventional rack (i.e. like a Yakima or Thule) when appropriate. I could have SWORN that when I last looked into this (about a year ago) either Thule or Yakima actually had a base listed but now I can't find it. I might have to shoot each of them an e-mail.

If anyone has a source please chime in.

Well yeah... I've seen the "studs". I could fab something from that basis. It's just weird. Like I said... I could have SWORN either Thule or Yakima made one. But I can also see that after 5 years of not selling any maybe they decided I wasn't moving fast enough  and dropped them!

If that's the case, maybe they have some that they could sell direct. Might be worh a call. That L track stuff is sweet. Good luck with search.

Could you modify some of the normal tie down anchors?

Cut the ring off, then weld the post to a plate of some kind that gets bolted to your rack or whatever you want to attach to the L-track. You'd have to be careful of the spring. Maybe take a small bit of wire and bind the spring down so it won't get in the way of welding. I could also see drilling a hole in a plate, then slipping the tie down post through the hole and welding from the top side, too, for some extra strength / more weld area.

I have Macs custom tie down stuff in both of my trucks. Good company to deal with and the products are built to a high quality standard, not down to a price point.:coffee:

Those are both good approaches. I'm sure I can come up with a workable solution.

That's good to know. Like Barney Stinson on "How I Met Your Mother" I like having "A Guy" for each thing... An upholstery guy. A trany guy. A body shop guy. Someone you can get to know and trust and know they do quality work without screwing you. Same thing with vendors.
