I frequently monitor local LE, Fire, EMS, and Forest Service comms. More often than not they reference mile markers on state and fed highways. In my search for a map that has that info, I found the map tool above. It can be zoomed, panned, turn on or off different layers, etc. From a quick glance, it has very accurate and highly detailed road names as well.

really cool map,
we have a simular mapping software program at work that shows us truck routes and haz mat routes round the city and is continuously updated for road construction areas.
Are you using a scanner to monitor these agencies?
I had a nice scanner in my last truck and I still have one at home but I have been told most everything is digital now and most scanners will not pick up anything.

I have a Yaesu FT-7900 in the truck that can receive the freq's, so I have them stored in memory. It has a fast scan rate on memory channels, so I monitor them along with the local repeaters.
