It's hard not to take a good picture up there. We first went in '02 I think, and have been back 10 times. It was a lot cheaper when the Canadian dollar was depressed against the USD. Last time up gas at Lake Louise was almost $5/gal. but you don't have to drive far to see spectacular views; you almost don't even have to get out of the vehicle.
