ASFIR Skid on 05+ Tacoma

Has anyone successfully installed an ASFIR PN. 560055 on a 05+ Toyota Tacoma?

Sorry for the delay in responding to this.

The 560055 does not fit the Tacoma, but the 557155 fits the 2005 - 2011 Tacomas.

Please tell me the company name is an abbreviation for something? People say it and it just comes out so wrong..

The correct pronounciation is "A-Sphere", there is no fur on this ......

That is the access plate for the front differential drain plug/service port. It does not hang below the lower crossmember, that is just a strange angle on that image.

We make all of our skid plates so that they do not have to removed for normal servicing. Just another way we ensure we offer the best products.

Those pictures make it hard to tell it, but there is a bend just to the rear of the access point that is the lowest point. This piece is right at or slightly above that point.

I am looking for better picture, but I did not take one in the correct angle or a side view. Sorry.

Considering the lengthy service interval on that diff fluid, I'd rather pull the skid for service rather than have that hanging down, YMMV. Also, I see the crossover pipe is protected but that takes away another inch or so of clearance... Is there an option for that to be smooth/flat for those that reroute that pipe for more clearance?

I will have to get a side picture to show that access port is on a slope on that front skid. Taking pictures fom below is not showing the full story. Sorry guys for not seeing this when I took the pictures!

As our products are engineered to be direct bolt on, so probably not for the crossover. And since the exhaust pipe on the Tacoma sits below the crossmember we need to drop a little to protect it.

I could see someone taking their truck into an exhaust shop and having them tuck the factory system better and skipping that exhaust piece if it was a big issue.
