AT Overland's new flatbed trailer

Checked it out at the Expo. While talking to one of the AT employees I learned it is design to do more than carry off road toys. Apparently the tear drop cabin will fit between the wheel wells. The idea is to make it removable so you can have a flat bed when needed, it also affords more protection to the TD cabin if you plan to do more technical terrain, kinda cool idea I thought.

I really like this concept...I look forward to details like dimensions, capacities, cost and availability. And more pics! Before reading the article and this thread I thought to myself it would be great to be able to convert this trailer into something like the chaser or tear drop with a few latches. So AT tell me more!!!

Great idea, This is the same plan I have for my M116A2 military frame.

I notice the shocks are adjustable. ah, the joys of soft sprung/well damped/long-travel suspension trailer that you can put the expedition box on and off as needed :D

It looks great. Good write up.

I'll have more info on our web site by early next week.

Things have been so busy I haven't had a chance to do any updates.

I know there is lots of dreaming as to how this flatbed trailer can be used, modified, adapted. For right now it's a flatbed. But please dream on and inspire us.

I personally would like to see a Flippac modular "unit" or "pod" that slides in there.

+1

I also have a M1100 series chasis trailer that would work with a slip in flip open pod. I have 55" between the fenders and 84" in length.

Hey guys, I like the A/T flatbed look. Great idea, I never thought about it myself.

Hey Fresno, you are a great guy. Your Flatbed also look very cool. And, while I'm at it, I want to thank you for your support for Joe. You are very classy dude.

Thanks, I think the convertible flat bed concept is a great idea. Track Mark Harley's thread on his flatbed m101 and I think you will get some great ideas. Also spend some time on the AT website. They always impress me with their products.

Sorry, but I have been unable to update our website with information on the AT Flatbed trailer. I'm having some issues with my computer and I'm unable to use the software I have for working on the website. I'll work on it as soon as the computer is running.
