Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant a swing away on a Chaser or Horizon, and let's assume a family sized Ezi Awn RTT is the only thing potentially close to the swingaway.

Would the tire possibly be the limiting factor in departure angle or interfere with tent mounting? Talking a 37x12.5 here, so not an extra wide tire, on a stock 80 series Cruiser rim @ 4.5" backspace.

The family tent of Eezi Awn 2200 is 96" long. and needs a sub frame on the Horizon, most of the overhang is over the tongue. On the Chaser the lid is 72" long so the overhang is 24" usually split forwards and backwards.

So with this tent there may be some conflict with the rear overhang and the tire carrier. I think there are solutions that would work to resolve it like using a sub frame on both he Horizon and Chaser trailers that would allow this tent to be shifted forward. Or lowering the tire carrier to allow the tent to be over the top of the tire.

I don't see any problem with the other tents set ups.

Martyn, looks good! but beings that we have our spare(s) taken care of.... i wonder if this can accommodate a full size flip up barbecue grill instead , now That would be killer :D

Dave

You know we'd fabricate anything for you :sombrero:

Seriously, using the swing away as the basic frame we have ideas for not only barbecues but also full kitchens, tables, etc.
