I actually saw a Habitat on the road, on a white Taco on US101 northbound in Monterey County on Saturday morning. Pretty soon they'll be everywhere. Looked good!

Nice to know that they are being spotted on the road now!

Production numbers, they reflect what we are working on currently and units we will be working on. We generate a serial number for each Habitat at the time it is fitted or sent to one of our dealers.

Have you looked at adding an option to use full rear doors in place of the truck's tailgate? I know Alu-Cab and one or two other canopy companies have options like this. From what I understand it helps quite a bit in dusty conditions.

Not at this time. Maybe in the future. We have our hands pretty full at the moment getting Habitats out the door and bring the 6.5 full size Habitat to fruition

Maybe I missed it, but are you guys making them for the DCLB'S?

Currently manufacturing for 5 & 6 ft Tacomas (will fit similar vehicles like the Colorado). We are currently building prototypes for the 6.5 ft full size trucks, to be released sometime in May (If you are interested in this model get your name down on the waiting list as we already have 40 committed customers for the short bed full size Habitat).

After that we will start looking at the full size long beds, but we have a few other products up our sleeve before then.

Glad to hear there is so much demand for your new product. Also great to see some of the builds coming out (e.g. goose gear) they look really really nice. We are van people but if I were looking for a truck style camper the Habitat would be a great choice.

I'll be getting it on my habitat, but I likely won't pick up until May.

Mario sent me an image with the green colour versus the standard grey.

I hear ya us common folk are just excited the tents will be in this week

Not quite accurate. As with anything being shipped we have to deal with the following.
Are the tents made and ready to ship - YES
Have we approved shipping quotes - YES
Have the tents been shipped - NO
Have the tents arrived in the USA - NO
Have the tents cleared customs - NO
Have the tents been shipped to us in Prescott - NO
Have we started to fit the tents - NO

Rather than working with arrival dates I prefer to tell customers that the tents are ready to ship and the earliest we will get them is next week. As you can see from the list above we have only accomplished the first two stages of a seven step process, and anyone who has ever been involved with shipping goods internationally will tell you lots can happen between now and when the tents arrive.

So be excited that the tents have started the process, wish them the best of luck getting here, but don't get fixated on a date.
