AT Tire help and opinions please!

Hi everyone, I've been looking into new tires and was wanting to get peoples opinions and experiences with the fallowing. I know a few are very new to the market and there are not many people out there who are running them but if you are I'd love to hear about it.
The fallowing tires are the ones I've been looking at:
1. BFG AT (I've run 4 sets of these already and i like them so I don't need many opinions on these, unless you know when the new cut is coming out)
2. Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 (Love the look and I've head nothing but good things about the general quality of M.T. tires)
3. ******** Cepek Fun Country II (Also look great and also heard nothing but good things about the first ten Fun Country's)
4. Cooper Discovery ATP (Great price, 55,000 mile warranty, and seems like a lot of people enjoy and use these tires here and all over Australia)
5. Toyo AT II (Great warranty, I think 45,000miles in the size I'm looking at, but not a huge fan of the look.)

So a little background. I'll be using these on a 1.5 year road trip that will include a lot of OHV driving getting my wife and I to climbing areas all over the U.S. as well as towing our 18 ft. Fleetwood Pegasus camper trailer, probably with gear weighing 4,000 lbs. and the truck is a 1999 Dodge 2500 Cummins.
Thanks for all the help and opinions.

The AT3 is a much better tire, and comes in load range C and E (depending on size). Here's a recent review: http://www.expeditionportal.com/gears/2739-cooper-discoverer-a-t3.html

I just bought a set of the ATPs in a 285/75-16 for my F-250 (from Discount Tire). What attracted me was the price and mileage warranty. Since installing them, I've been real impressed with the traction on snow and ice covered roads. I'm a happy camper!

I really like the BFG Rugged Terrain tires that came out about 2 years ago. I have had 3 sets of these tires on different vehicles and they have been fantastic. Previous to the Rugged Terrains I had several sets of BFG KO's. The KO's were decent tires but I do not like them as much as the Rugged Terrains. The Rugged Terrains are quieter, ride smoother and preform better in the rain, mud, snow and dirt from my experience. The KO's did better in the rocks.

I run the Cooper AT3's in the 235/85/16 size on my Chevy diesel and they work amazing except in clay type mud, but clay based soils are the demise of most tires.

Not on your list, but I've been using the Falken Wildpeak A/T (325/80-16 D8) on my Fuso and love them. Once they warm up (about 5-10 minutes) they are very smooth and quiet.

Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.
All of the tires your are looking at are quality. (I'll put a plug in for the Cooper S/T Maxx as well.)
One of the main issues when looking for tires is the side wall ply. Many tires only come with a 2-ply side wall.
The Coopers are one brand that does come in a 3-ply side wall on their AT tires. For many this may be a deciding factor.

Take a look at the Nitto Terra Grapplers, I got 30k on mine before I switched to KM2's and they had at least another 30k of life left. You can get them E rated also. Probably my favorite AT tire.

I put AT2's on my heavy truck. Not the most aggressive, but so far good in rain and snow.

I'd also research the Cooper STT, GY Duratrac, and Kelly Safari TSR. So far I prefer the softer Duratrac. The Kelly is a bit harder compound in the winter.

I'm loving my Toyo Open Country AT2s ---- and I'm my second set already....
The first wore out prematurely at ~ 20,000 miles and I got the second set half price with the treadlife warranty.
I head from a little birdie that the new set should last longer....

I'm sold on this tire since using them on ice last week. Not a slide or spin at all in the icy hills.
