Atl-atl's 2024 Power Wagon documentation thread.

If anyone happens to be intimately familiar with late model Ram 2500 hemi fuse boxes or Switch Pros systems I'm trying to figure out something. I have a Switch Pros 9100 installed in my Power Wagon and I added some auxiliary backup lights. Currently they are wired directly to switch 7 on the 9100 and lets just assume I programmed the trigger function correctly in the app. Im trying to get them to trigger with the Pink T1 trigger wire. I have my Switch Pros wired like the picture below. Im hoping to be able to fuse tap the Pink wire since its already in the fuse box with the other two wires for the 9100. For the reverse trigger Ive tried using fuse F74 which is for "backup alarm" which I thought surely would be switched on only when you shift into reverse but that doesnt seem to be the case. (Its possible that since my truck didnt have a backup alarm the functionality of that fuse needs to be turned on in the trucks computer.) I also tried fuse F95 which is for "rearview camera/etc." and that didnt work either. Does anyone know if there is a fuse in the main fuse block that is switched on only when you shift into reverse? Or the closest spot to the engine bay where I can find the wire for the stock reverse lights.

I have not been through the fuse box looking for one that will trigger as I have not gotten to this project yet myself. Do you have Commercial Settings when you scroll through the menu on the steering wheel? If so there is an option to enable the backup alarm. Maybe give that try and see if it makes the fuse hot. I have not played with any of them other than to scroll through them. The default 4 digit pin for the Commercial Settings Menu is supposed to be 0000 if the dealer did not change it. Don't know how the CANBUS will react to the feature being turned on without the hardware installed but it might be worth a try.

Another option that I have not fully researched is tapping the backup lights at the rear of the truck and adding a diode so that they do not back feed power to the SwitchPros when you put the truck in reverse. They should??? come on along with the backup lights whenever you are in reverse and give you a switched option at the SwitchPros when you are not. You might need a diode in each direction to prevent back feed both ways.

I have the SwitchPros in my truck and Aux Backup lights are on the punch list so I will be interested to see what you are able to work out.

Great info, thank you for the detailed response! Im out of town for the next week but will try out some of your suggestions when I get back. Ive got JScan so i might be able to adjust the CANBUS if necessary. There are some incredibly knowledgeable guys over on the HDRams forum that helped me get the proximity door handles working on my Tradesman who might be able to help with this also.

Sub'd as will be adding ExpOne rear bumper and Triple-R LED reverse lights (unsure yet how I'll be activating these when desired/in Reverse--maybe adding another SwitchPros) within a few months on my '22 PowerWagon/EnduroSuperTourer.
