Auto Transmission issue 05 TJ

A year and a half ago I had to rebuild my transmission. Yesterday at a light, my trans lost all the fluid. When I tried to look where it came from, it was some where on the pass side. The trans cooler lines were intact (there on the left side anyway), and the bell was dry (fairly dry). fluid sprayed out the right side, all over the exhaust and right side of the frame. from my vantage point I couldn't see anything obvious, any thoughts?

Here is an update on my tranny problem. The shop I took it to, said the fluid came out of the vent tube. And as it turned out, only about a quart and a half poured out. The shop added fluid and it started working. At first it would go into reverse and first, but wouldn't shift into second or third. but the next time they drove it, it drove fine, shifting through all the gears. However, they could not tell me how or why. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
