As I've said before--and Jeep market researchers, if you're reading, pay attention, because I'm NOT the only one to say this (see linked blog)--the only potential vehicle in existence for which I would run out and buy BRAND NEW off a dealer's lot without losing a single hour of time thinking about it would be a diesel Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

I would take the depreciation hit. I don't care. Want to sell more new vehicles? Make the damned diesel Wranglers already.

I owned an early 78 Jeep CJ7 until it got totaled in 1993 with a bent in rear quarter panel (should have still kept it and kicking myself for it). I have not been interested in Jeep since but if they came out with the Wrangler Rubicon in diesel I would get it in a heartbeat and sell my current daily driver.
