Avoiding Bisphenol A leach in oboard water tanks?

I am concerned with any plastic used in potable water tanks. There is an approved type of PVC, but I prefer welded white poly such as the material used in many RV tanks.

In the reading that I done on the topic, the only polymer mentioned has been polycarbonate. Most drinking water containers used in overlanding are made from polyethylene (PE), which I've not seen mentioned as having BPA used in it's manufacture. The typical Nalgene bottle of the past is made from PE.
