Awesome Isuzu Firetruck

Carefully scripted chaos
just thought I would share. Pretty impressive fording job.
This would probably make a great Expo rig

I don't see a snorkel, I wonder how high the air intake actually is

EDIT: oops...near very end (0:56) saw the raised air intake behind the cab, almost to the top, but not over the cab itself.

Guess I should do my research. I think SLR Caravans in Queensland Australia uses Isuzu trucks...not the same model, but probably close.

Air intake is usually factory installed in the location you mention. Nice trucks and very common here in 4x2 configuration. 4WD Isuzu truck while not common are certainly seen about New Zealand as well. The NZ Rural Fire Fighter history website has a bit about their various trucks here. The only 4WD Isuzu truck I have seen up close and in action was an NPR### I think and it hauled wind monitoring towers (in bits) and associated gear across farmland and then the large winch was used to erect the tower and raise it. Just looking at the Isuzu Truck website I see the modern equivalent woiuld be the NPS250c or similar. Electricity lines companys have them (4WD Isuzu) in their fleet usually also.
