axle weight

On my trailer build, i went with the original full toyota axle since I had it already, with intentions of switching to an actual trailer axle soon. After puting on the RTT there is now a lot more weight up higher. My question is, would it be beneficial to leave the full axle in to keep the center of gravity lower to offset the RTT, or would swaping to the lighter trailer axle not make that much of a difference? I will be using the trailer on the Rubicon this fall. Thanks.

It will make almost no difference at all since that weight is un-sprung. Also, I think the traditional trailer axle will serve you much better and give you the option of brakes, which will be nice off road.
