Back at It, and far from home. Ucareo, Michoacan, Mx

Being away from home its hard specially on weekends, so after sending some PMs to my trusty Jeeperos.com crowd, I hitched a ride on a nice outing to the sierra of Michoacan in Southern Mexico.

It was the typical weekend Ruta with plenty of cars, Kids and tough Jeepeing.

Getting the group together on Ucareo, Michoacan

Some innocent looking creek crossing that proved to be hard for some of the crew.

Getting some serious Jeeping under our belt.

But somehow some of them were having more fun than others, who needs 4X4? , all you need is some friends to pull you over :victory:

We had a nice Cabana to make camp for the night, a good choice since we spend most of the time under heavy rain and ice.

Our fierce watch dog, ready for rain and anything that might pose a treath to the group :sombrero:

Good Mexican breakfast, Quesadillas, Chilorio and Beans. No nice, light, fruity breakfast for us.

And the Winchfest began, seven cars, 300 feet of climbing in 5 hours, under sleet and rain.

Hey Edmundo, what the story on the winchfest. Any damage to vehicles? Looks wet and cold. Great photos.

The president of the club was tired of having everybody laugh at him for his "floral" rutas, so he went looking for the meanest unrideable track he could find, and then nobody accounted for the rain . Funnest time I had in a while, winching brand new cars over impassable rocks, Newbies crying everywhere, Its so good not to bring your car sometimes ....

Guess they wont mess with the old master anytime soon ...

Its one of those lowriding platforms that you stick in the back of your Jeep, it gave the guys car the departure angle of a L.A. Cadillac, so he ended up taking it off.

I was stunned how nice it is, I will be coming back

Saludos
