So, I found a mount to hold my tablet where I want it. Some of you recommended this app for my Android tablet on the Facebook page. The problem is, I can't figure out how to work the app? I thought I was fairly tech savvy. I just don't understand what the instructions are talking about? I think its written in Calculus? It seems to think I know whats going on in the world of TOPO maps? Any of you understand this thing?

I've found it great as a "you are here" with offline topo maps in very fine detail, but I've never invested the time to do a lot of route planning off-road with it.

Try the "Mapping, Navigation, GIS" subforum. Have you checked out the many "how to" vids on YouTube?

That style mount is great on road... but if you are hauling down back roads it will be bouncing all over the place. I found my tablet required 2 points of contact to be functional while driving on rough roads.

Yep, I will be making some modifications. Just getting a mount for the location I wanted was the hardest part. The way it sits right now, the tablet rests against the dash and the "Oh ****" bar. I will secure it to that bar.
