Back-Up Camera

My radio is Kenwood and it doesn't have camera input, so I need LCD screen for it as well.

I was in an auto parts store tonight (didn't notice the name, sorry) and saw a backup camera on sale for $100, normally $130. It has a 3.5" screen and a wireless transmitter. The display model was sharp and clear with good color, but it was in the store which was well lit. Has anyone used one with a small screen like this and if so, is it big enough to be practical? I just glanced at it on the way out of the store so didn't notice the brand name or any details. Not sure if if could be plugged into a larger display, espec. a laptop, which I will be using with a Garmin GPS that plugs into the USB port.

Any advice or comments would be appreciated as I am almost done with my camper build and just realized that because I will be traveling alone I should probably have a backup camera.

I've got a VR3 wireless backup camera right now. The picture is good....when it works. The camera is wired to a switch so I can use it as a rearview when the truck rack is loaded. Like I said it works well, when it works. The wireless signal is easily overcome by other signals, I've picked up views of restaurant interiors driving by them in town. It blacks out in our neighborhood....I guess we're a wireless community. And lately, it's acquired a lot of condensation on the lens, so I don't think it's really weatherproof. I've had it for a year and I'm thinking of replacing the camera with a wired and better quality camers but keeping the 3.5" screen which fits beautifully above the rearview mirror.
