Backroads Camping/ Destination Expo 2015!

Cool trip. That road between Bernardo and Magdalena (around the Ladrones) is called the Riley Road. There used to be a town out there called Riley - down where you crossed the water. It's a great shortcut - distance wise - and much more interesting than the interstate.

Talk to me next year when you are planning your route. I have suggestions on how to get from our neck of the woods to the Expo on 90% dirt - just pop out for fuel once and a while. Beautiful country.

Hey William, Want to get together for brunch at the Hollar and bring the maps? I'd love to pick your mind for ideas like that. I did fairly well but yes, my goal is that next year I take the rover, rovers and do mostly back roads. This summer is taking Shorty Landy around and about, working out the kinks, and getting more confident with the set up. Anyway, I have the Benchmark map for NM and my reading glasses so just say when!
