Bajarack help

Hello all,

I'm hoping to install a bajarack on my 2015 LR4. It came with the full length rails installed. I ordered the full length Bajarack (BR-LR-LR34-0) standard rack.

This will require modification/removal of the front part of the rails. My rails are one solid piece, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience in doing this. Any pointers would be very helpful

Thanks

You are not going to be able to cut your extended rails and have them look nice. I recommend buying the short rails off ebay. You should be able to get a set for <$300. Then I would remove your extended rails and sell them on ebay. You should be able to get >$400 easy. Bam. >$100 profit and you don't have a hacked up roof.

Removing the extended rails is pretty easy to do without damage. Just a bunch of torx bolts and phillips screws. The trickiest part is removing the front caps. Just pull straight up on the front and it should unsnap.

That is a fantastic idea.

I actually have a set of short rails in my garage somewhere from when I did the opposite conversion (short > long).

If you are interested PM me.

The full length rails are not one piece. You'll be surprised at how little holds them on - 4 bolts...
